Listen "26 October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month"
Episode Synopsis
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, also referred to as Intimate Partner Violence, which serves as
a call to action to end domestic violence in our communities. This awareness campaign is designed to educate, destigmatize, and empower survivors. We stand
with survivors and are committed to ensuring they are safely housed and provided necessary support to maintain their housing. On today’s episode, we will first be speaking with Kascha, HVAF’s therapist. She will share more about knowing the signs or red flags of domestic violence and how to ask for help. Then,
we will talk with Andrea, who is HVAF’s Community Engagement Coordinator. She has lived experience to share, and talks more about destigmatizing this
important topic. We are proud of Andrea’s bravery in sharing her story, and passion to use her experience to help others.
