Joshua 1:11, NIV “Go through the camp and tell the people, ‘Get your provisions ready. Three days from now you will cross the Jordan here to go in and take possession of the land the LORD your God is giving you for your own.’” - The Israelites were shut out of the Promised Land for their disobedience and wandered in the desert for forty years. They could see it, but the door was closed. But just because a door has been closed doesn’t mean it’s going to stay closed. God told Joshua that in three days the next generation would go in and take possession of the land. He was saying, “This is a new season. I’m going to open the door that’s been closed for a long time.”Maybe there’s been a history of depression, sickness, or divorce in your family line. It’s as though you’ve been locked out of good relationships, happiness, or good health. God is saying that doors that have been shut and limited your family for generations are being opened. It’s not what you did. God is showing you favor, bringing the right people, lifting you out of struggle and lack into more than enough. Get this down in your spirit: Doors are about to open. They are no match for our God. He is going to take you into your promised land. Prayer: Father, thank You that You open doors and make things happen that I can’t make happen and don’t deserve. Thank You that I can stay in peace in difficult times, knowing that at any moment You can turn things around. Whether You do it gradually or suddenly, I will rest in You.
