This is message 11 in the 2 Corinthians series
2 Corinthians 7:1-16
Paul reflects on the comfort he received during tribulation after hearing from Titus about the Corinthian church’s positive response to his earlier letter. Paul had been deeply concerned about how his rebuke would be received, but their godly sorrow led to genuine repentance. He contrasts true repentance, which leads to a change in behavior, with mere remorse, which does not. Paul also highlights the importance of continuing the process of spiritual growth, striving towards holiness. Titus was the right messenger to deliver this correction, and through this difficult process, the Corinthians affirmed their love for Paul, and Paul rejoiced in their restoration.
