Homelessness has been a consistent problem not only in Beaufort County, but throughout the country. In Episode 8, Tiffany talks with DeBrine Wetherington about the rollercoaster of challenges that she has faced throughout her life with maintaining a steady living space for herself and her children. DeBrine tells us how she first became unhoused at an early age, and overcame her situation through the help of friends and family. She further details how domestic violence, and homelessness caused her to lose her children to the system for eleven years. DeBrine expresses the difficulty that she continues to face as she is currently unhoused, but hopeful that her situation will soon turn around.
