The serpent lied to Eve and said that she would be like God if she ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil... And the same is true today. While our mindset may not be that we want to be like God, but our actions would convey that type of feeling... But in doing so, we forget who God is. God is perfect, loving, holy, and kind... We can rest in the knowledge that God is God and He will take care of us.
