The idea of planting trees...not for yourself...but, for others is a fascinating idea. For those of you listening that have any experience as orchardists, you know that when you first receive that “nursery whip” from the fruit tree nursery, it's hard to imagine anything coming from it. And in fact, it takes about 7 years for the fruit to be edible. Our lives are much like the tamarisk trees in today's message...we plant ourselves here and there and build for the next generation all while hoping to leave a lasting impact, a legacy.
