Owen Holmwood has qualifications in electrical engineering, physics and science and has worked and taught at TAFE in these fields in Australia, Canada and Antarctica. He is a also passionate bush walker in the greater Blue Mountains.
In Part 3 of the interview (broadcast on Rights Rorts & Rants on 24 March 2023) Owen chats with presenter Ann-Maree McEwan to explain what Radio Blue Mountain's call signal 89.1 FM means, how radio can be used on mobile devices using Global Positioning Systems as a navigation aid, and he reflects on whether radio is dead or has a place in modern life.
