Listen "Steamroller Blues (Version) - SongShot"
Episode Synopsis
Original version of this tune recorded in December 1969 at Sunset Sound, Warner Bros. Records. "Steamroller Blues" ("Steamroller"), was a rather bitingly brilliant Blues parody written by James Taylor, and appeared on his 1970 album 'Sweet Baby James'. It was intended to "mock" the inauthentic blues bands of the day. The song later appeared on two of Taylor's compilation albums and has been recorded by a variety of other artists, including Elvis. This version, my own, using BIAB Backing tracks that I arranged. Played along with my Ibanez Gio 'Blue' Electric and then sung along, recorded, and mixed it all up into one Hunka' Steamin' Funkafied Junk. Arrangement and Production - this version ONLY - Riff Beach via RiffWerx Productions.
