Today Zane Elliott will be in the series called "Cash Values." Today's sermon theme is "Money as god" and we will be working through Matthew 6:19-21,24 and Deuteronomy 8:6-19.What we serve with our money will grow in our hearts; if we serve ourselves with it, there’s a very real danger we’ll become a god in our own eyes. To help us avoid that very real danger  we’re going to see Jesus’ call for i) an attitude adjustment, for rich and poor alike. Before we dive into ii) the rationale for that attitude adjustment, which will help us to keep money in the right place, so that it doesn’t become a god, worthy of our worship.
