There is a short passage in scripture that simply says this "And Israel worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff." (Genesis 47:31b) There is beauty in the simplicity of that verse as it reminds us all that worship can happen at any time and in any place. Those who have a church that they call "Home" have been removed from their worship spaces for many months now, and we all have been forced to worship in new spaces and new places. Yet Jesus reminds as all that he is with us wherever we may be and he receives our worship from wherever it may come. So today, take a moment to break away and worship this amazing God who does not reside in buildings of stone or wood, but resides in our hearts.
