THE DEVIL HAS POWER
Too often we artificially minimize the power of Satan, presuming him to be a "toothless lion."
Scripture actually describes him quite differently. He has power. He has teeth. He is seeking to devour.
Ignoring him doesn't work.
Remember, the blood of Jesus doesn't grant us immunity, it grants us authority. We must fight if we want to win.
Jesus' blood and the power of the resurrection gave us all we need to wrestle with the enemy, as long as we put on our armor and go to war.
When Jesus, hanging on the cross, said, "It is finished," he meant it's finished for him, not for us. That moment in time resulted in quite the assignment being given to the church. We are most definitely not finished, and, though ultimately defeated, neither is the devil.
