Listen "Does God Create Evil? (168)"
Episode Synopsis
The King James Version of Isaiah 45:7 has God saying, “I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil.” This older translation makes it sound like the Creator is the source, not only of good, but also, of all the evil in this world. If that is a correct rendering, the New Age / Far Eastern idea that God is both darkness and light, both evil and good, is supported and even legitimized. How can that be? Is there a more correct translation and interpretation of this controversial verse that is in alignment with the biblical view?
