This week, I'm sharing a simple strategy to do just that.  Sometimes we hear a concept on a podcast or social media post and it makes sense, but it sounds too good to be true. We think "Sounds nice...for her. It's not true for me. " I think of this as my brain calling "BS" on it.  Or perhaps it sounds completely reasonable and we decide we want to adopt that mindset...BUT later, you realize you aren't acting in alignment with the new concept. You haven't shifted your mindset, and you're stuck in your old patterns. This is because simply hearing ideas or repeating them like "mantras" doesn't always work. In order to change your life, you have to truly believe and embrace new thoughts. One way to help your brain begin to believe new things is to add "softening" words to the beginning or end of the thought, such as:"what if...""it's possible...""maybe...""I'm learning...""I'm considering...""...sometimes"Take a listen to this quick episode to hear how it works. Then choose one new thought you will "soften up," write it down, and review it at least once a day. This is just one of the strategies I teach my private coaching clients.
