A. The chief benefit of membership in God’s visible covenant people (Church) is having the Holy Scriptures constantly present to fuel our faith in God (1-2)
B. Unbelief in the Holy Scriptures by God’s covenant people does not nullify the covenant faithfulness of God or thwart His saving purposes (3-4; cf Romans 9-11)
II. Applications (right/righteous practice)
A. Prioritize private & family reading, hearing, & heeding of God’s Word in faith
B. Let God be true, even if every man is a liar, and be true to God in faith – God is the Source/Ground of all Truth; God is True to Himself and to His Covenant promises/people.
