Listen "9. Accessibility is NOT a Curse Word"
Episode Synopsis
Whoever called invisible disabilities “invisible” was REALLY perceptive. They ARE invisible. Literally and figuratively. Accessibility is easier to understand when the need is visible and tangible -- you can see that someone is blind if they're using a cane, for example. You can see when someone requires the use of a wheelchair or motorized scooter. With invisible disabilities, it is more difficult to champion for our own needs when we have to explain why we are disabled even though we don't "look it."
Accessibility is a scary arena for many organizations when the needs aren't so cut and dry.
It doesn't have to be!!
In this episode, we talk about why accessibility can benefit EVERYONE.
