Maria O’Hanlon, a Biology researcher at Teeside University, comes on the podcast to discuss her work and her thoughts.She works with Drosophila (fruit flies) to study the effects of mitochondrial distinction in the genes that cause Parkinson’s Disease to develop, we also discuss her influences as she became a scientist and what got her interested in science and her area of study.
