Listen "Deep Fakes: Politics Determine Someone’s Relationship with God"
Episode Synopsis
We live in an age of outrage. Many of us are, unfortunately, familiar with how entrenched people can become in arguments over political and social causes. In our culture, many are quick to "cancel" those with whom they disagree, rather than having respectful and Christ-honoring conversations. This week, our lesson comes from Matthew 22:15-22. When Jesus was put on the spot with a question that pitted two politically-polarized groups against the other (The Pharisees and the Herodians), Jesus responded by bringing the conversation back to our responsibility toward God. Our students will be encouraged to "Render to God the things that are God's." While it's easy to get wrapped up in politics and causes, as Christians, our primary allegiance should be to Jesus.Click here for the lesson notes.
