Today in episode 80 of Redirected, we sit down with our first guest on this 30 under 30 series, Devon Townsend. Devon is the mastermind behind the popular app many of you might know as Cameo.

A flood of requests for personalized videos convinced Devon there was an unmet market. That's when Cameo was born. Devon chats with me about In 2014 Townsend quit his job as a Microsoft engineer to travel the world with his friend and Youtube star, Cody Ko. During his travels and adventures, Devon started a vine account that attracted over tens of millions of followers. Devon felt there was an untapped market after many of his followers requested personalized videos. And from there, Cameo was born. It was a pleasure chatting with Devon about the pivots and redirections in his career.
