Daniel is unlike any another book in the Bible. This book of Daniel is not set in Israel, but rather, is set in the heart of an enemy, hostile, pagan empire where God's people have been taken captive.When most people think about Daniel, they think about the lions den, the fiery furnace, the writing on the wall, and some dreams and prophecy. The book of Daniel is actually about the faithfulness of God. While kingdoms rise and fall, we can be faithful to the One True God who rules over them all.Because God is faithful, and rules over all kings and kingdoms, it is actually possible for us as His people to shine, thrive, and be faithful, in a dark and hostile world.
