What is the myth of hustle, and how do you dispel the idea through scripture as a Christian entrepreneur?
It was June 2021 when I attended my first Christian business conference. On the last day of the conference, they were giving away prizes, and for the first time ever I won, I. A prize as my name was called, I could see the sparkly tumbler in my favorite colors, the blues and greens of a Caribbean sea. Once back at my seat with a sparkly tumbler in hand, I saw the message on it:
"Hustle til your haters ask if you're hiring."That was the moment that I began to question the definition.
While the worldly definition of hustle is focused on aggressive, frantic, and constant work, I challenge us to dispel this myth by redefining hustle as emulating Jesus' work ethic.
And ultimately surrender our self-reliance and let Jesus lead!
