Listen "Waiting for the Whirlwind"
Episode Synopsis
If we were honest, nobody likes the book of Job. It raises so many questions about life and suffering that we don't often want to consider it. We would rather stay in the shallow end of life instead of considering the deepest questions of our existence. Job is hard because it makes us wrestle with the "why" questions of life. Yet there is hope in this book. Amidst all the advice and philosophy that Job's friends offer to answer the questions of his suffering, Job asks deeper questions and wrestles with God. In the end, he alone is the one who comes face-to-face with God in the whirlwind, and there he says, "Before I'd only heard of you, but now my eyes have seen.”
