Listen "Follow Justice"
Episode Synopsis
After a week like last week–and, yet, also every day, we’re called to fix our eyes on God. We do not mourn as those without hope: We look up with hope, and we don’t give up. At Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Charleston, SC, our sermon this past Sunday, June 21 focused on Deuteronomy 16:20. Like God’s people, we’re called to “follow justice and justice alone,” but chaos always ensues because the human heart keeps us from justice. Jesus is God’s answer to injustice in the world. The shooting at Emmanuel AME Church has permanently changed the landscape of our community. Only the Gospel can make that blighted landscape beautiful to behold. Listen to the whole sermon.
