Will the promise continue?God made a promise to Abraham back in chapter 12 - that he would bless him by making him and his family a great nation. After years of waiting he is given a son, Isaac. Then as we heard last week in chapter 22 - he almost sacrifices Isaac. Now Abraham is old and dying… and Isaac doesn’t have a wife. Without a wife, Isaac can’t have a son to carry on the blessing promised to Abraham. Suspense is building, and Abraham takes matters into his own hands.To prepare for Sunday, read and enjoy seeing how the story plays out in Genesis chapters 23 - 25.
