The ancient church in Thessalonica was a picture of strength. Persecuted, afflicted, and suffering in many ways. Yet, they were known for their joy. They were not just surviving their difficulty. They were thriving.Second Thessalonians 1:3-4“We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing. Therefore we ourselves boast about you in the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions that you are enduring.”This Sunday we will look throughout the letter of First Thessalonians and see the strands of strength woven throughout this church. Jesus made them strong and he wants the same strength for us.I can’t wait to worship together.Pastor David
