How big is the story you are living?This week in our study of 1 Corinthians, like last week, we find a passage addressing a very specific issue facing the Corinthian congregation. Apparently some in that small church were suing each other, yet another example of the division and arrogance plaguing their church. We must be careful not to think that this passage is relevant only when we are tempted to file a lawsuit against someone we go to church with. Take a few minutes this weekend and read the passage more deeply. Paul is pointing out why it is utterly ridiculous that these brothers in Christ would even consider secular legal action against each other given what Jesus has done and will do for them.How very small they must consider the story of their lives. Paul is lifting their eyes and ours to see the extravagant story that Jesus has drawn us into. Pray for me now that I would see this and I will pray the same for you.I can’t wait to worship together.Pastor David
