In Matthew 5:38-42 Jesus about retaliation where he uses the "you heard it said, but I say" teaching style again. We need to be careful with this passage, because if we do not read it in the context of the whole Sermon On The Mount, it appears that Jesus is asking us NOT to resist evil.
In reality, He is testing us to examine our hearts when we consider retaliating to insults and unfair behaviour.
