In this the tenth year of covering the Psalms in the Summer break, today Pastor Jonathan is preaching from Psalm 16.
David, King Of Israel has everything at his disposal - people, palaces, riches, yet in this psalm he recognises that he has nothing without God who is his refuge. David speaks of the of the sorrows he has for people who have another god, and this is where Jonathan takes us today. We have many other "gods", or rather, idols, that take our attention away from God, yet we are often blind to these idols, particularly when our whole society and econmic system is built around these things.
