Return to Him who is Faithful to you!
Jeremiah 2:2 ~ "Go and proclaim in the hearing of Jerusalem: "This is what the LORD says: "'I remember the devotion of your youth, how as a bride you loved me and followed me through the wilderness, through a land not sown.
Jeremiah 2:5 ~ This is what the LORD says: "What fault did your ancestors find in me, that they strayed so far from me?
Jeremiah 2:7 ~ I brought you into a fertile land to eat its fruit and rich produce. But you came and defiled my land and made my inheritance detestable.
Jeremiah 2:13 ~ "My people have committed two sins: they have forsaken me, the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water.
Jeremiah 2:19-20 ~ Know and see that it is evil and bitter for you to forsake the LORD your God; the fear of me is not in you, declares the LORD GOD of hosts. For long ago I broke your yoke and burst your bonds; but you said, 'I will not serve.' Yes on every high hill and under every green tree you bowed down like a whore.
Jeremiah 2:33-35 ~ How skilled you are at pursuing love! Even the worst of women can learn from your ways. On your clothes is found the lifeblood of the innocent poor, though you did not catch them breaking in. Yet in spite of all this you say, 'I am innocent; he is not angry with me.' But I will pass judgment on you because you say, 'I have not sinned.'
Jeremiah 3:1 ~ "If a man divorces his wife and she goes from him and becomes another man's wife, will he return to her? Would not the land be greatly polluted? You have played the whore with many lovers; and would you return to me?" declares the LORD.
Jeremiah 3:12-15 ~ Go, proclaim this message toward the north: "'Return, faithless Israel,' declares the LORD, 'I will not look on you in anger for I am merciful,' declares the LORD, 'I will not be angry forever. Only acknowledge your guilt, that you rebelled against the LORD your God and scattered your favors among foreigners under every green tree, and that you have not obeyed my voice,'" declares the LORD. "Return, O faithless children," declares the LORD, "for I am your master; I will take you, one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion. And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.
