Rebinging Star Trek DS9: Duet



Welcome to S1E18 Duet. In this episode of DS9, an unknown Cardassian arrives at the station seeking medical treatment. The trouble is, his condition only exists in survivors or soldiers of a forced labor camp called Gallitep. Kira wants the guy's head on a stick, but Sisko is being cautious. We take a very deep dive into the details of this dialogue-heavy episode.



Duet



No B-story in this exceedingly dramatic and rather shocking classic episode. WHERE'S MY JAKE? On the other hand, mixing in some lighthearted stuff would have been awkward. We get some extremely disturbing stories from the mouth of this guy claiming to be either Marritza, an "innocent" filing clerk, or Gul Darhe'el, the Butcher of Gallitep. Fasten your seat belts for this one.
