My own menopausal experience was not a joyful one. I couldn't concentrate, couldn't focus, was forgetful, anxious, depressed, lost, confused. I thought I was losing my mind and had early-onset dementia. I never attached a particular label to my own experience, but the phrase brain fog has cropped up a lot in other women's stories of menopause, so I thought I'd share a few thoughts on it here.
