Once Jesus' disciples received the power of Holy Spirit, their purpose and the plan they responded by presenting the Gospel to the Jews on the Day of Pentecost where the first Gospel sermon was preached by Peter and many of those who heard believed and responded to the message in a big way - they were transformed! Peter presented that the Kingdom of God had come, that Jesus WAS the King and that even though they had killed Jesus on the cross, God had raised Him from the dead and "made Him both Lord and Messiah." The people believed, repented (as proved by their baptism) and followed by devoting themselves to the disciples teaching (continual) to fellowship with each other, to remembering Jesus' sacrifice as they ate together and prayed together. They continued this both in the Temple and in their homes and the result was that others also received the message and were given the chance to respond to Jesu- and the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
