Welcome back to Reading with Ben! Let's continue the lecture on the book of Deuteronomy.
This is episode #01 chapters 01 & 02.
Deuteronomy Chapter 1, was written from the point of view of Moses. As the faithful leader of the Israelites, Moses stood on Mount Horeb and addressed his followers. He wanted to provide the people with a clearer view of how their quest for the Promised Land was going so far.
Deuteronomy Chapter 2, Moses is speaking to the Israelites about their wanderings. He tells them they have traveled along the Red Sea route to reach the wilderness because God commanded this. They made their way around the hilly Seir areas. Then God told Moses that they had gone long enough and they were to turn north.
