In this episode we saw God’s people fall into sexual sin and idol worship. This incident resulted in the death of 24,000 of God’s people. This episode should remind us that lust and sexual sins can attack anyone. That’s why Jesus came and died for us because He knows we were born with a sin nature and only the Grace of God and the blood of Jesus saves us. Let’s also remember that anything we love more than we love God can become an idol to us. But this is why Jesus died, to save us from our sins. He will continue to cover us with His blood and change us into his image with the final change occurring when he returns.
