In this episode we read verses 1-26. We discussed how Judas hung himself because he felt guilty about betraying Jesus. We also discussed Jesus’ six trials (he appeared 3 times before the Jewish authorities and three times before the Roman authorities. We also talked about how Jesus told the Roman Governor (Pilate) in John 19: 10-11, that the only power he had over Him was the power God allowed. This is also true for us. As Christians, our steps are ordered by God. No one can do any thing to us unless God allows it. And if God allows us to go through some tests, trials, or tough situations…He has a purpose in it. So when we go through our trials, we should ask our Father what is the lesson He wants us to learn. Jesus knew there was purpose in the things He had to suffer. Therefore He was able to endure it. We must recognize that God also has a plan for us.
