In this episode we read about the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. This was His official declaration to the world that He was and is the Messiah. We also read about how Jesus cleansed the temple and got rid of those who were taking advantage of the people. We finished this episode reading about how He cursed the fig tree. We talked about how that fig tree represented the religious leaders at the time. They had been entrusted with the word of God yet they had no fruit to show for it. They were just religious and legalistic. Jesus also used the cursing of the fig tree to show His disciples what faith can do…move mountains!
