In this episode we read about more instructions for the Priests. They were under strict rules about who they could marry and about what funerals they could attend because they were not supposed to contaminate themselves by touching a dead body. They also could not have any defects. What we can learn from this is that as leaders, we are not allowed to do what others do. We must live holy lives…lives that are lived for Jesus. I did not say we had to be perfect, but we should be quick to repent when we mess up. Also Christians need to keep in mind that their leaders are not perfect and will probably make some mistakes. Don’t let it stumble you if a leader falls…pray for them. The enemy would love to take out our leaders, but God is our keeper. Also remember that under our new covenant, we are all kings (queens) and priests. As Christians we represent God to the world. Therefore we are held to a higher standard and we cannot do what everybody else does.
