In this episode we did an introduction to Leviticus and read and talked about the burnt offering which was one of five offerings the children of Israel offered. This offering atoned (covered) for their sins and represented total surrender. The entire animal was burned, no meat left for eating. What does this sacrifice mean to us? Jesus was our burnt offering and our high Priest. He willingly offered himself and died for our sins. Jesus is also our High Priest who went to heaven to represent us to His Father declaring us not guilty. Heb. 9:24, 10:11-14. This burnt offering also speaks to us that we are to be living sacrifices (Rom 12:1).
