We talked about Jacob going to Haran, meeting Rachael his cousin and ending up being tricked by Laban (his uncle) into marrying both sisters. We also discussed how Leah felt unloved and seemed to have a relationship with God as evidenced by the names she gave her first four sons. We made the application for us that just like Leah, sometimes God allows us to go through things just to make us cry out to him.
