In this episode the children of Israel were obedient and built the tabernacle and all the 6 pieces of furniture. In this episode we recapped what the furniture in the tabernacle means to us: Brazen Altar-where the animals were sacrificed represents The sacrifice Christ made for us when he died on the cross to take away our sins. It also represents us when we accept Christ into our hearts and present our bodies as a living sacrifice.
Brazen Laver-is where the Priest had to wash their hands and feet before they could sacrifice the animals and before they could enter the tabernacle. This represents the washing of the word. The word of God cleanses us. We said yes to Jesus and now He’s cleansing us making us like Him.
Table of Shewbread-this is where they put 12 loaves of bread every week. Jesus is the word and the bread of life. We must read the word (the Bible) regularly.
The lamp stand-represents that Jesus is the light of the world. He has also called us to be the light.
Altar of Incense-the incense was to always be burning and represents prayer, Jesus is always praying for us; the Holy Spirit prays for us when we don’t know what to pray; we, the saints, are told to pray without ceasing.
The Ark of the Covenant-This represents the presence of God.
