The action happens in the front yard of two houses owned by Mrs. Potts and Mrs. Owens. They are getting ready for a Labor Day picnic that will be attended by the whole town, including the smoking hot new drifter, Hal, who’s just rolled into town that morning and is doing some work for Mrs. Potts but catches the eye of Mrs. Owens’ extremely pretty daughter Madge.
