Listen "In the Home of Jihad (Part 1)"
Episode Synopsis
What is the point of doing short-term mission trips?Don’t they do more harm than good? Hit and run evangelism with no cultural understanding? Are they really a good use of time and money? We at Frontiers are all about long-term church-planting teams, but we often introduce people to the Muslim world through short-term trips. In this episode Matt continues his conversation with three young people who have recently come back from a week’s prayer trip to Turkey. They describe meeting an incredible lady who came to faith in Christ through a series of visions and who started a church in her town, in spite of some serious opposition. They also recount several conversations they had with Turkish young people, who they found to be surprisingly open to hearing about Jesus. If you’d like to organise a group from your church or CU to do a trip like this one, just let us know.Support the show_________________________________________________________________________________Do get in touch if you have any questions for Matt or for any of his [email protected] can find out more about us by visiting www.frontiers.org.ukOr, if you're outside the UK, visit www.frontiers.org (then select from one of our national offices).
