Listen "Socrates, Scotch, and Soulmates, a Midnight Balcony Breakdown of Modern Love"
Episode Synopsis
Based on the “Symposium at the Edge of Sleep” by C. P. Stiltskin, a surreal, poetic tale about a middle-aged man named Clifford, caught in the grip of insomnia and a midlife crisis, who unknowingly lights a mystical strain of Mary Jane that opens a portal to the ancient world. As midnight strikes, he's visited by Socrates, Diotima, Aristophanes, and others from Plato’s Symposium. Together, over jazz, wine, and philosophical banter, they explore the nature of love in the modern world. Blending humor, longing, and timeless wisdom, the story is a dreamlike dialogue on connection, memory, and what it means to truly love.
