Listen "Parent Stories: Enjoying the Journey Step-by-Step"
Episode Synopsis
Parent Stories: This is an interview with the parents of Alex Chin, Division 1 golfer at The University of San Francisco. Alex has built up quite the resume already with recent tournament wins, a number of top 10's and most recently named the 2020 NCGA Player of the Year! Emily and Alan Chin have been the support system needed for Alex since he began playing golf at a young age. In this episode they talk about what they have learned as parents along the way, how much they have enjoyed the whole process and advice for us adults on how to make this the best experience for everyone!
A few things that Emily and Alan repeat over and over was how important the environment Alex was in during his junior golf years, shaped him into the person and golfer he is today. They also talked about the process and understanding that there are going to be ups and downs, but to not over analyze ever score or situation, but just to see it as part of the process.
Emily and Alan really spoke on a lot of values this podcast holds and offer a lot of experience and advice for all of us to take away.
