Text: Titus 1:5-6 The Charge to Appoint Christlike Elders (Titus 1:5) The New Testament uses three words to refer to the same leadership office: Elder, Overseer, and Pastor. Titus was charged with identifying, appointing, and equipping elders to lead the church. The Character to Aspire in Christlike Elders (Titus 1:6) An elder is a man who is above reproach. An elder is a man who is faithfully devoted to his wife. An elder is a man who shepherds his children in godliness.
