In this episode of MUSIC SCENE, host Nanette Wiser previews the line-up and fun events at the 35th Annual Suncoast Jazz Festival at Sheraton Sand Key Nov. 21-23. Returning headliners Diego Figuerado, Wycliffe Gordon Jason Marsalis, Ken Peplowski, Tuba Skinny and Professor Adrian Cunnigham get up close and personal with jazz greats from all over the U.S., Florida and especially our Tampa Bay musical talent. There's music for every tastebud from N’awlins jazz to American songbook, a bit of Bacharach, modern acoustic and Latin jazz, swing, Brazilian (Nate Najar & Danielle Soledade), rockabilly and gospel…and that’s just before lunch around the pool. Highlights include Guitarmageddon with Nate Najar, John Merrill, Carl Amundson, Eddie Metz, and Steve Boisen and Pepper’s Place for the melodious collaboration Jonathan Russell with Simon Lasky and Steve Boisen. The mashups among the artists keep the festival fabulous. Zorch’s Allstars features Randy Morris on  piano,  Steve Boisen on bass,  Dick Maley on drums, Vincent Sims on guitar,  Terry Myers on sax,   Dave Bennett on clarinet,  James Suggs on trumpet (fresh from new cd debut from Arbors Records), Herb Bruce on trombone  and vocalist Pepper with special Guests John Lamb on bass and chanteuse Theo Valentin.   Legendary clarinet player Ken Peplowski performs and leads a once-in-a-lifetime group of friends in a rousing jazz performance including  Chuck Redd, vibes; Ehud Asherie, piano;  Don Mopsick, bass;  Eddie Metz - drums and Jonathan Russell - jazz violin.
