But according to Dennis in the many issues raised - there are 3 issues that are of concern and confuse rural residents. That is the issue of carbon trading, cascading dams and PADU. Rural residents are confused about whether or not to support carbon trading and whether they will benefit. In the law passed in the Sarawak State Assembly related to carbon trading. Ordinary people will not be paid if their land is used. PL will be issued by the state government to large companies. Just like in the matter of palm oil plantations and logging. But in this matter GPS sings that carbon trading will protect the environment and the people will be able to benefit. Related to Cascading dams GPS/Sarawak government said that cascading dams are not building dams or drowning rivers and villages. It is to build a waterfall that will be a tourist attraction, increase oxygen in the river and prevent the breeding of crocodiles. The people were persuaded to agree that their village and land be used for the cascading Dam. For registration and updating PADU. GPS acted aggressively by stopping all PADU registrants in Sarawak on the grounds of data security and not wanting their property ownership to be exposed. Dennis explained that only people who have extraordinary wealth that cannot explain their wealth are the only ones who bother to register with PADU. The failure of the people of Sarawak to understand the real issues of carbon trading, cascading dams and PADU. Showing that GPS failed to provide real information to help the people of Sarawak.
