Ashraf Sharafi, Pegawai Program Bersih – Majikan tidak boleh menghukum pekerja kerana tidak hadir bekerja untuk mengundi
Majikan swasta tidak dibenarkan mengenakan sebarang penalti atau membuat sebarang potongan gaji pekerja kerana tidak hadir bekerja untuk pergi mengundi
Beliau berkata, majikan terikat dengan Subseksyen 25(1) Akta Kesalahan Pilihan Raya 1954.
majikan harus berbincang dengan pekerja mengenai pilihan untuk memberi cuti atau cuti bagi membolehkan mereka menggunakan hak mereka.
Beliau mengingatkan bahawa slot masa yang dicadangkan untuk mengundi oleh SPR dalam sistem adalah tidak wajib diikuti, masih bergantung kepada pengundi untuk mengatur masa mengundi, SPR tidak akan dan tidak boleh menghalang pengundi.
Ashraf mencadangkan pengundi pergi mengundi seawal mungkin.

Private employers are not allowed to impose any penalty or make any deduction from employees’ salary for being absent from work to go to the polls
He said that the employers were bound by Subsection 25(1) of the Election Offences Act 1954.
employers should discuss with employees regarding the option of giving time off or leave to allow them to exercise their right.
he reminds that the suggested time slot to vote by SPR in the system is not compulsory to follow, is still depend on voters to arrange the time to vote, SPR wont and can’t stop the voters.
Ashraf suggest voters go to vote as early as possible.
