John gave an analysis of PAS's big victory in the elections in 6 states. According to John, PAS's big victory was due to 2 reasons. First because by voting for PAS you will get a ticket to heaven. But not all Muslim Malays will believe this narrative, because many know that only GOD can decide who can go to heaven or hell. But the most effective argument is - the supremacy of Malay Islam.
According to PAS- no matter how bad the Malay Muslim administration is, they should be supported- because they are brothers of the same religion and nation. As good as any other party like DAP - they are still a different race and a different religion. Therefore, there is no other argument that can fight the narrative of the Islamic Malay vote campaign.
According to John the same thing happened in Sarawak. The narrative of PBB supremacy (Bumiputra Pesaka Party Bersatu) led by the Premier of Sarawak is very effective. The people of Sarawak were asked to vote for PBB because PBB is a Dayak (Pesaka) party and a Malay Bumiputra (Bumiputra) party. Therefore, there is no other party that is better and more qualified to govern Sarawak - other than PBB.
But John reminded the Dayak people in the PBB. That they are only complementary and of little value. This is proven that TYT is from PBB Bumiputra Malays, the Premier of Sarawak is also from PBB Malay Bumiputra. The Deputy Prime Minister, the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Speaker of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly - all of them are Bumiputra Malays in Sarawak. So, the Dayaks in the PBB are bribed with some small positions and few contracts and projects. This is what actually happened in Sarawak - according to John Brian.
