What you will hear is Natalie Mariko voicing her poem “cagebird”, throughout and within spaces in friction.(This episode contains binaural audio elements reproduced only through headphones.) Natalie Mariko is a NJ-born poet currently residing in Athens. She is a former poetry editor of SAND Journal & studied English & African Literature & Film at the University of Cape Town.Her works, interviews & translations have appeared over the past half-decade in various American, British, German & South African publications.Her poem “cagebird” also appears in the zine “rites of passage” (co-authored with Rolf Orlińska) which is available for purchase at: namko.bigcartel.com.Radial Spaces is a limited series of sonic essays produced by FranciscoPetrucci and Astvaldur Thorisson and guests for Radio Antecâmara, dedicatedto exploring the techno-poetics of sound and space.Astvaldur Thorisson is an artist and sound engineer, focusing on the relation the built and the sonic. Astvaldur is currently a student of Architecture at the Universität der Kunst in Berlin.Francisco Petrucci is a multidisciplinary artist and researcher working towards the poetic. Francisco holds a MA degree in Sound Studies & Sonic Arts at the Universität der Kunst, Berlin.
