Being a wife can be quite challenging especially since the world has placed its own meaning on what a "wife" means.

I am speaking from a biblical stands and for me wife who has been called by God to be a wife, honors God first and than she honors her husband. She is saying she is door mat but she respects her husband and regards his opinions.

She is not the prefect person and gets it right all the times. She makes mistakes and falls by the way in trying to do what God desires of her. It does not mean she accepts everything her husbands tells her although she respects his desires. She communicate with God daily on what her husband place before her. Her pray is that God's way will be done.

This is a challenge but being equally yoked with your husband, helps the process to become a little easier. When a man honors God and holds God as his complete authority, he is aware that his wife is his partner and not his slave or door mat and he in returns respects her opinions in all matters that concern him. He never plan to intentionally hurt her because he knows all too well, if he does, he is also not pleasing the God that he serves.
